Enroll in our Learn to Play Hockey Rookie Program. Grundy Arena’s program gives participants with little or no experience an opportunity to learn the sport of ice hockey in a fun environment. Grundy’s Learn to Play Hockey Program is here to teach the fundamental skill sets to young hockey players. Developing basic skills is pivotal for young hockey players to ensure that once they join a team and begin playing games, they fully enjoy the experience. It’s a great way for players to get into the game in a fun and safe setting. Our Learn to Play Hockey Program graduates are ready to play at the next level! Private Lesson Time Ice for Hockey

Jr. Senators are recreational hockey teams designed for players who have hockey lesson program experience to develop skills before playing on travel hockey teams.

Weekly skills clinic for intermediate to novice.

Whether your child dreams of being the next Scott Hamilton or Wayne Gretzy, is eager for a new hobby or looking to spark a new passion for the ice, this is their camp! New to skating? No problem! All ages and all skill levels are welcome!

This 4-week (30 min/week) program is FREE and includes the gear.  Following the program, participants may keep the gear if they enroll into the following Learn To Play Hockey program.

Participant will need to come to an equipment fitting prior to the program to receive the gear.

Season: Fall 2024

Starts: Nov 3 ’24

Ends: Dec 15 ’24

Minimum age: 5 years old

Maximum age: 9 years old

The program is open to adults 18+ who have never played hockey. It will combine on-ice skills sessions with instructional games. During this program, participants will learn the fundamental skills of ice hockey, including how to skate if they've never done so before.

Weekly pickup games for beginner to intermediate adults 18 and older.

We offer public hockey and stick time where you can work on your skills on your own.

Public Hockey: 17 & older

Stick Time: 16 & under

The Grundy Adult Hockey League (GAHL) currently offers 8 divisions of varying skill levels and 1 mid-level division reserved for players 40+ years old.

Projected Divisions: B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3, C4, D

Primary Game Days: B1/B2 – Monday through Thursday; B3/C1 – Sunday through Friday; C2/C3/C4/D – Friday and Sunday. Games may occasionally be on different days as needed.

Structure: Team entry.

Season Length and Cost: 12 games plus playoffs for $3,900 per team.

Early Payoff Discount: $200 off if paid in full by game 1. $100 off if paid in full by game 3.
